Aibly: The AI Compliance Infrastructure Platform Taking Aim at Enterprise Regulatory Drag

Compliance is one of the least glamorous, and most expensive, line items in enterprise software. For banks, insurers and other heavily regulated firms, reviewing documents, screening activity and tracking regulatory obligations still consumes enormous amounts of manual, repetitive labour. A new London-based company, Aibly, is betting that AI agents can take much of that work off human desks.

What Aibly does

Aibly describes itself as an “enterprise AI execution layer for compliance.” Rather than acting as a dashboard or a reporting tool, the platform deploys AI agents that automate manual review workflows inside regulated businesses, the kind of repetitive checking, extraction and triage that compliance teams currently handle by hand. The pitch is straightforward: cut operational cost, reduce turnaround times, and let compliance staff spend their time on judgement calls instead of paperwork.

Traction and the raise

According to its public listing on the Angel Investment Network, Aibly is seeking £1,000,000 at a minimum ticket of £25,000. The company reports:

  • Three regulated customers
  • Approximately £170k in annual recurring revenue (ARR)
  • A qualified pipeline of £1.7m to £2m, plus a further £900k in active RFPs
  • £150k raised in the current round, following a £500k previous round
  • A forecast of £12m ARR, which the company says excludes future AI products

The listing places the business at the “Achieving Sales” stage.

Founder pedigree

The founder’s background is part of the story. The listing notes that they helped scale Alchemy through to its acquisition by NTT Data, and that they carry a previous software exit. In early-stage investing, that kind of operating history, especially selling into large, slow-moving enterprises, is often as decisive as the product itself.

Why compliance automation is drawing capital

The timing is not accidental. Regulated industries face overlapping pressures: tightening rules on data and AI use, rising expectations from supervisors, and flat or shrinking compliance headcount. At the same time, large language models have made it feasible to process unstructured documents such as contracts, filings and correspondence at a scale and speed that was impractical only a few years ago. That combination has turned compliance automation and AI governance into one of the more durable pockets of enterprise AI spending.

The caveats

Early-stage investments carry real risk, and this one is no exception. The headline figures, including the £12m ARR forecast, are forward-looking projections rather than guarantees, and a qualified pipeline is not the same as signed revenue. Compliance also tends to be a slow sales cycle, measured in quarters, with procurement, security review and regulatory sign-off standing between a pilot and a contract. Investors considering the round should treat the numbers as claims to verify rather than conclusions.

The listing notes that the promotion has not been approved by an authorised person within the meaning of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, and that reliance on it may expose an investor to the risk of losing all invested capital. As always, due diligence and, where appropriate, professional advice are essential.

The bottom line

Aibly sits at the intersection of two things enterprises are spending on right now: AI that removes manual work, and compliance that cannot be avoided. Whether it becomes the execution layer for regulated firms, or one of several well-funded contenders, its reported early traction and founder track record make it a name worth watching in the compliance-automation space.
