Bugatti's new $4 million Tourbillon has the wildest steering wheel ever

Bugatti has unveiled its latest marvel in automotive extravagance: the Bugatti Tourbillon, a $4 million masterpiece that redefines luxury and performance in the realm of supercars. Departing from its traditional turbocharged W16 engine, the Tourbillon boasts an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine delivering a staggering 1,000 horsepower, complemented by three electric motors generating an additional 800 HP (two in the front and one in the back).

This hybrid powertrain propels the Tourbillon to unprecedented feats: reaching a mind-bending top speed of 277 mph, accelerating from 0 to 186 mph in under 10 seconds, and sprinting from 0 to 62 mph in less than two seconds. While its electric range is modest at 37 miles, this marks Bugatti’s significant stride into the electric future, influenced by its merger with Rimac.

Inside, the Tourbillon is a blend of opulence and innovation. The interior, reminiscent of a high-end mechanical watch, features an unconventional instrument cluster embedded within the steering wheel itself, a hallmark of its distinctive design philosophy. Crafted from premium materials such as titanium, sapphire, and ruby, every detail exudes exclusivity. Even practicality is not overlooked, with enhanced storage space and bespoke Bugatti luggage options available.

Currently in its testing phase with prototypes already on the road, Bugatti plans to handcraft only 250 units of the Tourbillon, scheduled for customer delivery by 2026. Despite its hefty price tag, demand has been overwhelming, with most units reportedly sold out. As Bugatti continues to redefine automotive luxury, the Tourbillon stands as a testament to uncompromising engineering and unparalleled extravagance in the supercar arena.
